Industry Event: The Business Case for Diversity

What? In this interactive session Dr Helen Mortimore MCIPD will help businesses explore how to get the best out of EDI policies within the context of their own organisations.
This session is an opportunity for an honest conversation about what really improves work –for people and for organisational outcomes.
In this session participants will explore:
- What is the business case for diversity in 2020? This is framed in current contexts of: COVID-19; Black Lives Matter; allyship.
- What role does the law play? E.g. Equality Act? Some people feel the law is great for protected characteristics, others think it doesn’t go far enough.
- What is the benchmark for good practice in the creative industries?
- What role does the Gender Pay Gap play? And the Ethnicity Pay Gap?
To protect the integrity of the session and individual privacy, strictest confidentiality will be required, and assurances given that no part of the session is recorded or will be re-purposed.
Who’s it for? Aimed at decision makers/ senior managers in creative SMEs in the West of England.
