My skills are in writing and film. I have written and edited for magazines and worked on short films, as well as working in digital content and social media. I’m interested in experimenting with visuals and music, too.
My placement has been an amazing opportunity to develop new skills and build on skills I already had. The networking within the cohort and beyond has been so important as well.
Coming from a working-class background, it can sometimes feel like the creative industries are too hard to get into. Everyone has a unique story, so it’s important that the industry contains a wide range of voices.
This training role was supported by Rough Assembly and Creative Access and ended in July 2020. Jack is now funded via Creative Workforce for the Future for an industry placement.
