Privacy Policy

The personal information collected during this programme will be processed by University of West of England (UWE) Bristol and by Watershed in accordance with the terms and conditions of the General Data Protection Regulation, 2016 and the Data Protection Act, 2018. 

UWE Bristol and Watershed will hold your data securely and – other than sharing it with the Project funder (the West of England Combined Authority (WECA) and the European Social Fund) for the purposes of operating the programme – will not make it available to any third party unless permitted or required to do so by law.  

The type of information collected includes:

  • Name
  • Job Title
  • Company / Organisation Name  
  • Company address         
  • Contact Details
  • Workshops or 1 to 1 meeting attendance
  • Identified company needs
  • Progress during programme

We will only process your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable data protection legislation:

  • Where you have freely given your informed consent for your information to be processed for specified purposes.
  • In pursuance of our legitimate interests where those interests do not override your individual rights and freedoms (for example administering the Creative Workforce for the Future programme).
  • When it is necessary to carry out tasks in the public interest (for example the provision of research).

Specifically, the requested information will be used as follows:

  1. The information will be used to administer your engagement with the ESF-funded Workforce for the Future programme.
  2. The information will be disclosed to administrative staff working for UWE Bristol and Watershed for the purposes of administering points 1 above.
  3. The information will be stored on UWE Bristol’s secure servers, in secure physical storage or through a secure Customer Relationship Management database.
  4. The information will be held in line with funder requirements (currently mandated as being December 2033). After this date all records, electronic and physical will be destroyed.

In respect of your personal data held by us, you have the following qualified rights to:

  • access it
  • rectify it if it is not accurate or complete
  • erasure
  • data portability
  • restrict its processing
  • withdraw any consent provided or otherwise object to its processing
  • prevent automated decision making, including profiling
  • complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)
